Bio

I was born in Eritrea and moved to the United States when I was 8 years old. I try to be a nice, compassionate, and thoughtful person. A couple of life experiences that have shaped me are:

  1. Moving to a new country as a child was difficult but taught me to adapt to new cultures and situations. Learning English and making friends in a new place built my resilience.

  2. Struggling academically in high school but being able to improve my GPA through hard work and discipline showed me I can achieve goals through perseverance.

I am currently a pre-nursing major at IUPUI. My goal is to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). I chose to pursue nursing because I want to help care for others in need. Going from an average student to earning excellent grades in high school gave me the confidence to take on the challenge of nursing school. My ultimate aim is to provide compassionate patient care and make a positive impact through my career.
